A blog about making art and other things using cloth, paper, paint, colour, stitch, and all sorts of exciting techniques, some of which I'm sure I still have to discover! I hope that the joy all this gives me is visible in what you can see here.

Poppies, Postcards and Butterflies.

Well, I decided that I definitely needed to have a go at translating those poppy pics into a small textile, and here it is! I'm not sure why, but it hasn't photographed very well, and I'm wondering if it has something to do with the strong contrast in the colours. It does look better in the flesh!

Four 4x6 inch postcards that I have made from a textile that I'd made some years ago, and then decided that it wasn't right. I just chopped it up, added some butterflies and so here are the results. Never throw anything away, they can always come in useful for something!

It's been so hot and sticky here in the UK, but at least it has been a good excuse to stay indoors in the cool and stitch!

Thank you for reading.
